Project VII: Mental Scars
The human mind is a complicated organ, it has the ability to use a defense mechanism to keep a keen remembrance of negative emotions and memories in order to defend itself against other equally negative experiences - it adapts. Strong negative words, sounds, memories can lock itself into the brain and create a new person, someone different than who they were before. Abuse does this; all forms of abuse do this.
Project VII: Personal Research & Thematic & Style Development
Through the use of a bit of medical knowledge, observation, and curiosity in order to show others how verbal abuse can affect the human psyche during and after such experiences.
Project VI: Cool or Warm Color & Unity & Variety
I decided to show the breathe of winter through the imaging of a girl going out and exhaling a breathe of air to show how the frost captures it. A breathe of magic through a child's imagination.
Project IV: Space & Complementary, Scale & Porportion
My idea is to used everyday objects (a jar, some paper, glue & etc) to create the ocean in a jar, or to use creatures or ideas associated with the ocean to create a night light jar for my niece. She loves the ocean, and she loves the stories about mermaids and pirates, but she doesn't enjoy dark very much. I hope she'll appreciate the gift.
